The young Munich-based software company bao has been certified according to the international ISO 27001 standard. The company thus guarantees the highest level of information security for itself and its customers.
Cyber security is at the top of the agenda for all companies, especially in the software sector. Not only must they be able to rely on their own IT, but also their customers. And this is precisely why it is necessary to develop secure systems that respond to the necessary technological developments and at the same time guarantee the security of the information systems of institutions or companies. ISO 27001, as an international standard, defines how information security should be established in a company and provides a clear line for planning, implementing, monitoring and improving information security.
bao focuses on the systematic documentation and analysis of call data in the sales process. Large customers such as TeamViewer and Conrad in particular need to be able to rely on the confidential handling of their data and information. With the help of Secfix, the software company has therefore implemented an information security management system and achieved an important milestone with ISO 27001 certification.
Secfix supports companies with certification and simplifies the time-consuming and cost-intensive process of becoming and remaining ISO 27001-compliant - and it's made in Germany. The company integrates itself into bao's systems via an interface and carries out hourly audits. This gives bao an overview of its compliance status at the touch of a button.
What does certification mean for bao?
In the software market, the ISO 27001 seal gives bao a market advantage over non-certified competitors. Many organizations, whether potential customers or partners, will not do business with someone who cannot provide sufficient proof of their IT security. Entire business processes now depend on it - whether it is the secure handling of sensitive data or the legally compliant processing of the same.
